Shodan

Photo Exhibition – november 26th,2011 – december 18th 2011

Shodan is my first photographic exhibition. I have been taking pictures for many years now and this is the first time that I have the opportunity to print and expose them in a physical form. I selected street portraits from all over the world and I wanted them in Black and White on aluminium.
Shodan is a japanese word that means “beginning degree” and it’s the lowest black belt rank in japanese martial arts. This is how I feel with this exhibition, at the very beginning of a journey. – Luca Sartoni
